Contained in original blue velvet lined Colt partitioned walnut case, together with two-cavity Colts patent bullet mould, J Barlow patient bag-shaped powder flask with graduated charger, Eley Bros cap tin, L tool and ball supply. Dealers label in lid reading "RICH'D BURNAND/SUCCESSOR TO JOHN GARDNER/GUNMAKER/111 PILGRIM STREET NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE".
The revolver is in good condition showing grey patina and scatter light pitting overall. 98-100% of cylinder scene present, slight traces of faded and silvered case-hardening remaining on frame. Grips retaining approximately 9%-95% finish with light wear to relief edges. Action tight and crisp. Case and contents very good to excellent with light wear overall.
