Cased Remington New Model Double Action Belt Revolver

Serial Number 169    .36 Calibre    6½" Octagonal Barrel

This early model manufactured in 1863 has the first type barrel markings, conical German silver front sight and fluted cylinder.    The barrel, with crisp markings and very good bore, retains 95% plus of its original good quality blue finish, the loading lever is similar.    The cylinder retains 80% finish thinning on the high points.    There is extensive flaking on the frame which is common on many Remington revolvers.    The trigger guard retains 60% of its original silver plating.    The two piece walnut grips are excellent.   The action, single and double, is perfect.

The mahogany case is in very good condition outside with matching condition to the lining.

The correct Remington flask has 95% of its lacquer finish.    The Remington mould has been cleaned at some time.    The case is complete with its original cleaning rod.

A very good complete cased Remington double action revolver.
