This excellent revolver manufactured in 1855 retains 95% plus of its original finish on the barrel which has a very good bore. The cylinder has a very good scene and all of its safety pins.
The frame, hammer and loading lever have strong case colour. The figured walnut grip retains all of its original varnish. The revolver has all matching serial numbers and a very good action.
The mahogany case is in excellent condition and has the officer's badge of the 4th Royal Lancashire Militia (raised in 1853) set in the lid. Included in the case are a "colt navy" flask, colt 500 cap tin, bullet mould, nipple key and cleaning rod.
