Manufactured in 1864, this very fine revolver has the 5 in barrel and is British proofed. The barrel retains nearly all of its original high polished blue finish with a excellent bore, the six shot cylinder has a very good scene and retains over 80% of its original finish.
The frame, loading lever and hammer all retain very good case hardened finish, the silver plated trigger guard and back strap retain some original finish. The revolver has a very good action and has all matching serial numbers including the wedge, the walnut grip which is pencil numbered to the gun is in good condition with some light handling marks.
The mahogany case is in good condition and is complete with a James Dixon pocket flask, a W&C Eley cap tin, a Colt mould, nipple wrench and cleaning rod.
