Cased Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver

Serial number 161673    .36 calibre

This excellent revolver was manufactured in 1863 and sold in England through Colt's London Agency. The standard 7½ in barrel has the "New York" address with a very good bore and retains all of its high polished blue finish with only some light staining.

The frame, loading lever and hammer all have good case hardened finish, the cylinder has a good scene with all of its safety pins intact.

The brass trigger guard and back strap retain over 90% of their original silver plating, the walnut grip is in excellent condition retaining all of its original finish.

The revolver has all matching serial numbers including the wedge and a very good strong action.

The revolver comes complete with with its excellent oak green lined case, a very good James Dixon bag flask, pewter oil bottle and a Colt Navy mould, nipple wrench, cleaning rod and cap tin.
