Manufactured in 1855, this revolver is one of a large number that were purchased by The British Government from Colt's London factory for the war in the Crimea where they saw hard use. At the end of that war those that were still serviceable were returned to The Tower of London to be refurbished. This example is in good condition retaining some of that Arsenal refinish, the revolver has a very good bore with clear "WD" markings. All serial numbers are matching including the wedge. The walnut grip is in good condition retaining most of its original finish, the revolver has a very good action and cylinder lock up.
