Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver

Serial Number 85337    .31 calibre

Manufactured in 1854 this very fine revolver has the 5 in barrel with the "New York" address. The barrel retains 90% of its original finish, slightly thinning with a very good bore. The 5 shot cylinder has a very good scene with some original finish, 4 of the 5 safety pins are intact. The frame, loading lever and hammer all have faded case harden finish with the trigger guard and back strap retaining over 60% of their original silver plating. The walnut grip is in excellent condition retaining all of its original varnish. The revolver has all matching serial numbers including the wedge with a very good action and cylinder lock up.
