The Remington New Model Army revolver was one of the major handguns of the Civil War competing with the Colt Model 1860 Army revolver. The US Government purchased over 100,000 of them and was the last of Remington's .44 calibre percussion revolvers. This example is in excellent condition with over 90% of its original finish and appears to be unfired, with clear sub-inspectors marks and a very clear cartouche.
