This very crisp revolver manufactured in 1856, last year of production, has a good bore and clear marking. The barrel retains approximately 40% original blue finish with the balance in a smooth brown patina. The cylinder has a smooth grey patina with clear engraving. The trigger guard and backstrap have some traces of blue in protected areas. Frame and loading lever have 30% case colouring.
The grip is very fine with one small chip toe. All matching numbers. The mahogany case with label in lid has a Dixon flask, Colt mold and key, Eley Bros Colt cap tin, cleaning rod and spare Colt nipples.
A very nice set.
