Colt Model 1860 Army Richards Conversion Revolver

Approximately 9,000 of these revolvers were produced between 1873 and 1878.

This revolver was originally made as percussion in 1871 and converted some time later.   It has a good bore and a 8" barrel retaining about 30% plus original blue finish.   The cylinder, which has a clear scene, has traces of finish.   The frame is smooth with some light case colour.   The walnut grips are fine but have been lightly sanded at some time.   The back strap shows traces of blue finish, strongly on butt.   All numbers match and the action is very good.

A nice condition Richards Conversion, which are getting harder to find.
