Colt Model 1862 Police Revolver

Serial Number 12555    .36 Calibre    6½" Barrel

Manufactured in 1862, the barrel has the New York address and retains about 60% original blue finish and has a very good bore.   The cylinder retains about 20% blue finish, strongest in protected areas.   The loading lever has strong case colour.  The frame is smooth with light case colour.   The grips, which are numbered to the gun, retain 95% original varnish.   The back strap and trigger guard have 95% original silver plate finish. 

All matching numbers and the action is very crisp.
