Colt Model 1860 Arms Revolver

Serial Number 79481    .44 Calibre    8" Barrel

Manufactured in 1862, this martially marked Civil War revolver is in fine condition.   The barrel, with a good bore, retains about 60% original blue finish with clear New York barrel address.   The loading lever is unmarked and has strong case colour.   The cylinder, which retains all of its pins, has an excellent scene with about 30% original finish.   The smooth frame has light case colour.   All screws are clean.   The walnut grip has a couple of pressure marks and good cartouches, and is numbered to the gun.

All matching numbers and a very good action.   A solid Civil War revolver.
