This revolver was part of a contract for 1851 Navy Revolver for the Egyptian Government. The contract was arranged by Frederick Von Oppen acting for Colt's London office. The Hartford manufactured revolvers were inspected and passed by the Royal Small Arm at Enfield and proofed by the London Proof House. The revolver has the “Enfield Storekeepers” mark on the left side of the grip.
This revolver is in good condition with a little light pitting on the hammer, cylinder and loading lever. The cylinder scene is faint but visible. The action is good and the whole gun is very tight. The walnut grip is very good with an excellent Enfield stamp.
All matching numbers. A very honest gun.
