Manufactured 1863-1865.
The barrel has a good bore and about 80% blue finish turning a nice plum brown.
The receiver and lock are unmarked and are a mottled grey with clear markings. The action is in excellent condition, operated by a crisp, clean lever with faded case hardened finish.
The stock and fore end are in good condition with two cartouches on the left side. There is a fine crack from the saddle ring bar to the butt plate on the left side.
This is a very fine Civil War carbine.
