Manufactured in 1861 first year of production this revolver is one of only 38,000 manufactured and has the standard 7½ in barrel with all matching serial numbers, a good action and cylinder lockup.

The Colt factory letter (included) states that this revolver was sold to the United States Government and shipped to Lt Col G D. Ramsay, Washington Arsenal, Washington D.C. on the 14th October 1861.
