Brooklyn Arms Co "Slocum Patent" Revolver

Serial Number 9017     .32 Rimfire calibre

Manufactured c 1864 the "Slocum" was another attempt at circumventing the Rollin White bored-through-cylinder patent held by Smith & Wesson.

The unique design with individual chambers in the form of sliding tubes within the cut outs on the cylinder, chambers slide forward one at a time over a fixed rod on the side to expose load and eject.

This example is in good condition with a very good action and cylinder lockup, the cylinder which retains most of its original finish functions correctly as per the "Slocum Patent".

The revolver comes complete with its rare good condition cardboard box with retailers details and cleaning brush.
