Manufactured in 1862 this early example has the 4 screw frame, most of the production for this period was sold to the US Government.
The revolver is in very fine condition, the barrel retains nearly all of its original finish, slightly thinning in places with a clear address and a very good bore.
The cylinder has a good clear scene with 4 of its 6 safety pins intact and retains some original finish.
The frame, hammer and loading lever show case hardened finish most vibrant on the frame, the walnut grip is in very good condition with a very clear cartouche.
The revolver has all matching serial numbers including the wedge with all sub-inspectors marks clear, the action and cylinder lock up are very good.
